  • Ella House provided a massive spark off the bench, filling the stat sheet with six points, a team-high six rebounds, and a game-high six steals.
  • Talynne Shearer and Hallie Allen joined Hay in double figures, contributing 10 points apiece to the balanced attack.
  • Campbellsville dominated the perimeter defense, holding the Patriots to 0-of-9 shooting from three-point range while connecting on five triples of their own.
  • The Lady Tigers return to the Powell Athletic Center on Thursday, Feb. 5, hosting the Georgetown College Tigers at 5:30 p.m. ET.
The Lady Tigers wasted no time asserting their dominance, stifling the Patriots from the opening tip. Whitney Hay and Dea Bradley sparked the offense early, while the defense locked down the Patriots, forcing turnover after turnover. Campbellsville raced out to a 14-0 lead, keeping Cumberlands off the scoreboard for the first six minutes of the contest. The Patriots finally managed their first field goal with 4:07 remaining in the quarter, but the Lady Tigers continued to attack. Hallie Allen and Paige Serafini connected from deep, and Campbellsville closed the period with a commanding 22-4 advantage.

Hay opened the second quarter much like the first, scoring immediately to extend the lead. However, the game turned physical, and the Patriots began to chip away at the deficit by attacking the paint and getting to the free-throw line. Cumberlands outscored Campbellsville 21-15 in the frame, capitalizing on rebounds and free throws to cut the Lady Tiger lead to 37-25 heading into the halftime break.

Coming out of the locker room, Campbellsville regained the momentum with a quick 6-0 run, fueled by defensive stops and transition buckets from Tyra Flowers. The Patriots tried to keep pace behind Jaydyn Carrico, who reached double figures, but they had no answer for Hay. The senior forward was relentless attacking the rim, earning repeated trips to the charity stripe. Campbellsville outscored the hosts 26-20 in the period, extending their lead back to 18 points, 63-45.

Talynne Shearer and Bradley opened the fourth quarter with baskets to keep the pressure on. Although Cumberlands attempted a late rally, the deficit created by their 41 turnovers proved too steep to overcome. Ella House and Abby Gilbert provided energy and rebounding in the paint to preserve the lead down the stretch. Lainey Johnson capped off the night with a three-pointer in the final minute, sealing the 81-63 victory for the Lady Tigers.
