#8 Tigers prime for postseason run at NAIA National Championships

WICHITA, Kan. – The #8 Campbellsville University men's wrestling team heads to the Heartland Credit Union Arena this weekend with a formidable eight-man roster for the 2026 NAIA Men's Wrestling National Championship.

Building on their third-place team finish at the Mid-South Conference Championship, the Tigers boast a lineup heavily fortified with returning All-Americans, newly crowned conference champions, and dangerous bracket-busters. The NAIA Men's Wrestling National Championship begins Thursday, March 5, and concludes with the finals on Saturday, March 7.

Here is a look at the eight Tigers stepping onto the national mat:

133 lbs. - Izaeah Beavers
Beavers enters Wichita, peaking at the perfect time. The senior captured the Mid-South Conference title with a dominant 3-0 postseason run, capped by a 20-4 technical fall in the championship bout. Beavers has compiled a 4-1 open record and is battle-tested against ranked opposition. A proven commodity on the national stage, he is a multi-time NAIA All-American and a former MSC Champion looking to return to the national podium.

141 lbs. - Nick Moore
Moore brings a dangerous combination of veteran experience and giant-slaying capability to the 141-pound bracket. Despite suffering an injury default at the MSC Championships, Moore's regular season was highlighted by a stunning 7-2 decision over Cumberland's #2 Jared Dinh and a sudden-victory win over #16 Eli Peyton (Cumberlands). If healthy, Moore has proven he can hang with the elite tier of the NAIA.

149 lbs. - Nik Yancey
Yancey is putting together a phenomenal junior campaign, boasting an 11-2 duals record and a 6-2 open record. He arrives in Wichita fresh off a thrilling 4-1 sudden-victory decision over #1 Victor Guzman to claim the MSC Championship. A returning NAIA All-American (7th place) and former MSC Wrestler of the Tournament, Yancey has the offensive firepower (evidenced by his numerous technical falls this season) to make a run at a national title.

157 lbs. - Antwaun Burns
A returning NAIA All-American, Burns dominated his way to an MSC title, logging a fall, a technical fall, and a gritty 3-2 decision over #14 Brice Coleman in the conference finale. With a 7-3 dual record and a spotless 4-0 mark in the postseason, the former MSC Freshman of the Year knows how to navigate the grind of a championship bracket.

165 lbs. - Jasitin Kubwimana
Kubwimana has been an unstoppable force in dual action this season, racking up a 10-1 record while adding a flawless 4-0 open record and a 3-0 postseason mark. The junior's path to the MSC Championship was littered with bonus points, including back-to-back falls and a decisive 10-3 win over #10 Malachia Harris. Kubwimana's ability to score in bunches makes him a serious threat on the national stage.

174 lbs. - Shad Slone
Slone has arguably been the most lethal finisher in the Tigers' lineup this season. Highlighted by multiple sub-one-minute falls, including a 21-second pin in open competition and a 39-second fall in dual action, Slone is a scoring machine. Though he suffered a narrow 4-1 decision loss in the MSC finals, the reigning MSC Men's Wrestler of the Year is already a highly decorated NAIA All-American and will look to cap off another dominant season.

184 lbs. - Brice Parks
Providing crucial veteran leadership, Parks compiled a 5-3 dual record this season. His regular season featured a major decision victory and a pair of ranked wins, including a 13-6 decision over Lane Kiser of Cumberlands. A former Third Team All-MSC selection and NWCA Scholar All-American, Parks has the veteran savvy required to grind out victories in the consolation brackets.

197 lbs. - Ashton Boswell
Boswell is the lone freshman qualifier for the Tigers, but he wrestles with the poise of an upperclassman. He announced his presence on the national radar during the regular season with a 13-11 decision over #8 Omari Smith (Oklahoma City) and a 10-5 decision over #10 Tyler Rowland (Cumberland). With a 6-2 dual record and a third-place finish at the MSC Championship, Boswell has the talent to make serious noise in his national tournament debut.
