CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University held No. 2 Georgia Gwinnett College scoreless through the first half and took the lead on
Mihlali Blesi's 60th-minute goal, but the Grizzlies answered twice over the next 12 minutes to defeat the Tigers 2-1 Friday at Finley Stadium.
- Campbellsville matched the second-ranked Grizzlies with eight shots, including a 5-2 advantage after halftime.
- Blesi scored for the fourth consecutive match and accounted for three of Campbellsville's eight shots, placing two on goal.
- All three goals came during an 11-minute, 40-second stretch in the second half, with Campbellsville opening the scoring at 59:26 before Georgia Gwinnett answered at 60:58 and 71:06.
- Goalkeeper Malthe Schou made all three of his saves in the first half, helping the Tigers reach halftime level despite Georgia Gwinnett holding a 6-3 advantage in shots.
- Campbellsville produced three consecutive corner kicks between the 70th and 73rd minutes, placing Blesi's ensuing attempt on frame.

Schou made the first intervention of the match in the 10th minute, stopping Pedro Nunes' attempt.
Izan Garcia Gancedo provided Campbellsville's first shot four minutes later but sent it wide right.
Georgia Gwinnett continued to apply pressure in the opening half. Schou denied Pedro Alejandro in the 31st minute before stopping Michael Mallaburn at 38:14. Mallaburn sent another attempt wide two minutes later.
Campbellsville generated additional opportunities through Blesi and
Alessandro Martinez, but both attempts missed to the right. The Tigers entered halftime scoreless after holding the Grizzlies without a goal on six shots.
The Tigers broke the deadlock at 59:26 when Blesi scored unassisted, giving Campbellsville a 1-0 advantage.
Georgia Gwinnett responded 92 seconds later. Djordje Djurasinovic scored without an assist at 60:58 to level the match.
Campbellsville immediately pressed to regain the lead. Garcia Gancedo forced goalkeeper Dagoberto Romero into a save in the 62nd minute, and
Mark Horn had an attempt blocked at 64:35.
The Grizzlies moved ahead at 71:06 when substitute Gabriel Martins scored unassisted. Campbellsville answered by earning consecutive corners, and Blesi put another shot on frame at 72:40, but Romero made the save.
Garcia Gancedo produced Campbellsville's final attempt in the 82nd minute, sending the shot wide right. Georgia Gwinnett protected its one-goal margin over the closing minutes to secure the result.
Campbellsville finished with eight shots, three on goal and seven corner kicks, while Georgia Gwinnett recorded eight shots, five on goal, and two corners.
