CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Jaedin Sklapsky was named the Mid-South Conference Wrestler of the Week after he won the 141-pound weight class at the Missouri Valley College Invitational this past weekend.
 
After his 5-0 mark this past weekend, Sklapsky moves to 18-0 on the season and is 9-0 against NAIA opponents this year.
 
Sklapsky – who has wrestled at 149 pounds and ranks fourth in the weight class – started the tournament with a 9-3 decision over Zac Charity of Hastings College. In his second match of the tournament, the junior recorded a 10-4 decision against Calab Ashe from Graceland University.
 
In his final match on Friday, Sklapsky notched a 5-2 decision against Dickinson State University's Jaime Mullins.
 
The semifinals of the 141-pound weight class started with Sklapsky beating No. 1-ranked David Berg of Midland University. In the championship match, Sklapsky beat John Bindner (ranked No. 14 at 141 pounds) of Missouri Valley in a 7-3 decision to win the tournament.
 
This marks the first time Sklapsky was named the Mid-South Conference Wrestler of the Week.
 
Campbellsville returns to action on Thursday night at 7 p.m. ET against No. 8 Southeastern University at home.
