BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Coming off of their third-straight loss, the Campbellsville University football team had an individual standout in wide receiver/punter Tate Pringle as Pringle was named the Mid-South Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.

Pringle was limited as a receiver but scored the only Tiger touchdown of the game against University of the Cumberlands on a special teams play while also punting the ball nine times for an average of 39 yards per punt.

He scored the touchdown on a 70-yard fake punt run to give CU a 7-6 lead at the time. From then on Pringle, punted those nine times with a long punt of 45 yards with one punt being pinned inside of the 20 yard line.

It is the second weekly honor for Pringle this season as he was named the NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week for his week one performance against Thomas More as a wide receiver.

Campbellsville has an off week this week before playing their regular season home finale next Thursday when they host Lindsey Wilson College.
