CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — For the fifth time in her career,
Jacqueline Roof was named the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week, officials announced on Monday.
Roof, a junior from Paducah, Ky., went 6-for-8 and drove in three runs in Campbellsville's two victories over Calumet College of St. Joseph on Sunday.
In game one, Roof went 3-for-5 and narrowly missed hitting for the cycle. She recorded a single, double and triple and drove in one run.
In game two, she went 2-for-3 with a single and double, walked once, tallied two RBI and stole a base.
In addition, she scored six of the 27 runs for Campbellsville on Sunday.
No. 12 Campbellsville swept Opening Day on Sunday with a pair of run-rule victories over the Crimsonwave. In addition to the 11-0 win in game two, the Lady Tigers defeated Calumet 16-6 in game one to start the season with a 2-0 record.
The Lady Tigers are scheduled to play this weekend at home but possible schedule changes are on the horizon. More details will be posted on Monday night.
