CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — For the eighth time in her career and first this season,
Neely Quint is named the Mid-South Conference Pitcher of the Week, officials announced on Monday.
Quint, a senior from Brookport, Ill., led Campbellsville to a 5-1 week with a win over Georgetown College and two victories over Kentucky Christian.
She allowed three earned runs - one in each game - over her 18 innings of work while striking out a combined eight on the week. Quint tossed a six-hitter in the win over Georgetown College, striking out a week-high four batters in the 3-1 victory.
On the season, Quint ranks No. 1 in the country with her 22 wins and eighth with a 0.68 walks allowed per game. She also leads the MSC with a 1.40 ERA, second in opponents' batting average (.227), first in innings pitched (134.2) and second in hits allowed per game (6.03).
Campbellsville, which boasts a 34-5 record, ranks No. 4 in the NAIA. The Lady Tigers are hosting Georgetown College for a doubleheader on Wednesday, April 18. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET at Veterans Memorial Park.
