BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — For the first time in her career, Campbellsville's
Jaimie Thompson is named the Mid-South Conference Defender of the Week, officials announced on Monday afternoon.
Thompson, a junior defensive specialist from Owensboro, Ky., recorded 55 digs in three matches last week to lead CU to a 2-1 record.
Against University of the Cumberlands on Friday night, Thompson tallied a career-high 25 digs in the five-set victory, while registering 21 against Life University the night before.
On the week, Thompson averaged five digs per set and added seven assists and one kill. Overall in the MSC, she ranks second with 5.4 digs per game.
The Lady Tigers boast an 11-3 record and hit the court on Tuesday night at rival Georgetown. First serve been the Tigers goes up at 7 p.m. ET.
