CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — For the second time this year and third of her career, Campbellsville University's Payton Blades earned Mid-South Conference Pitcher of the Week honors. 
 
Blades, a sophomore from Island, Ky., captured two wins in 14 innings pitched against No. 20 Morningside and Blue Mountain.

She allowed only three earned runs and struck out nine batters combined in the two games where CU won, 4-2 and 6-1, respectively.

Blades finished the week with a 1.50 ERA and walked only two batters.

No. 13 Campbellsville went 4-0 at the Gulf Coast Invitational and will now host conference rival University of the Cumberlands on Friday and Saturday. Friday's first pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET.
