GREENVILLE, S.C. – Coming off of a week with five wins in six games, Campbellsville University softball's Ryley Whitneyperformed well enough to earn the NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week honors.

Whitney started at catcher in all six games for the Lady Tigers as she went a combined 10-for-16 (.625) at the plate with nine RBIs, two doubles, a home run and five runs scored.

Whitney's best game of the week came in Sunday's 12-11 win in extra innings where she went 4-for-5 with her home run, two RBIs, two runs scored, and a walk to help Campbellsville avoid a come-from-behind loss to Bethel.

The junior catcher produced strong offensive numbers throughout the week despite being removed early from half of the games in the week as the Lady Tigers were able to improve their record to 15-7.

Campbellsville will play a doubleheader at Midway University this Tuesday on the road then return home to host Cumberland University on Friday and Saturday at Hord Softball Field for a four-game Mid-South Conference series.
