After extending his record to a perfect 22-0 last week, Campbellsville Chuck Sharon has been named the Mid-South Conference Wrestler of the Week.
 
The honor is Sharon's second of the season and third of his career.
 
Sharon, who has been ranked No. 1 at 184 pounds the past three weeks, went 2-0 last week to lead No. 4 Campbellsville to a pair of duals wins over No. 7 Lindsey Wilson College and No. 18 Cumberland University.
 
Sharon started the week with a 5-3 decision over Lindsey Wilson's No. 5 Matt Walker. The win sparked CU to a 20-15 come from behind victory over the Blue Raiders.
 
Then on Friday night, Sharon took down No. 7 Kyle Dalaune in a 22-11 win over the Phoenix.
 
Campbellsville, which will defend its 2016 title, will now await its fate and seeding in the Mid-South Conference/NAIA East Qualifier scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 18 in Bowling Green, Ky.
