CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Hunter Brown and Elmer Barron were selected as the Mid-South Conference Bluegrass Division Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, the national office announced on Monday.
 
This is Brown's fourth MSC weekly honor of the season and Barron earns his first career honor.
 
Brown notched 400 passing yards and a pair of touchdowns for Campbellsville in a 31-24 double-overtime loss to No. 9 Georgetown College. He completed 28-of-55 passes, where his 55 pass attempts are now tied for fifth in the program record book for most in a single game. The senior also caught his first collegiate pass for eight yards.
 
On the season, Brown ranks second in the nation with 359.0 passing yards per game and his 2,513 passing yards are 11th-most in the nation. The Tigers lead the NAIA with 376.7 passing yards per game over seven games this season.
 
Barron recorded seven total tackles for Campbellsville and notched four sacks to tie the program record for most sacks in a game. He is now 14th in the NAIA with 0.8 sacks per game and is 28th with 5-1/2 sacks overall.
 
The senior now leads the team with 5-1/2 sacks and is second with 7-1/2 tackles for loss for 45 yards this season. Barron also has a pass breakup and a forced fumble in seven games.
 
Campbellsville faces its second-straight top-25 team this coming week as it host No. 22 Cumberland University on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. ET from Finley Stadium for Senior Day.
 
Georgetown's Tyler Dummer was selected as the Mid-South Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.
