Tigers Survive Late Scare To Hold Off Urbana 70-64

Zach Allender led three Tiger players in double figure scoring as Campbellsville survived a late rally by Urbana University to win it's fourth game in a row tonight in a 70-64 victory.  The game was played at Gallatin County High School in Warsaw, Kentucky.

The Blue Knights used a slow down style offense for much of the game until the Tigers were able to sprint  out to a 57-42 lead with 3:21 remaining in the game.  At that point, Urbana went into a full court pressure defense and a more aggressive offense but never pulled closer than a five point margin.

Allender had 23 points and 12 rebounds to lead Campbellsville while Aaron Wyatt added 16 and Shawn Savage had 15 points in the win.  The Tigers shot 51.2% for the game from the floor.  Urbana was led by the 30 point performance of David Brown.

Campbellsville is now 5-3 and faces 3rd ranked Union University in Freed-Hardeman's Classic on Friday.
