Williamsburg, Kentucky - The Campbellsville University Tigers snapped a three game losing streak tonight by defeating the University of the Cumberlands 63-46 in a key Mid-South Conference game. The Tigers entered the game 0-3 in Mid-South Conference play and were unranked in the NAIA Top 25 for the first time this season after suffering three straight conference losses.
Campbellsvillle used a 20-6 run over the final 8:29 minutes of the first half to lead 34-21 at halftime. The Tigers shot 53.6% in the first half while holding Cumberlands to just 29.6% shooting.

The Tigers came out in the second half and immediately built the lead to 16 points on a three-pointer by
Deveon Jenkins (JR/Chicago, Illinois). Then the Patriots outscored Campbellsville 14-2 over the next seven minutes to crawl within 4 points at 39-35 with 12:03 to play. Campbellsville spread the lead back out to 9 but Cumberlands battled back once more to narrow the lead to 45-41 with 9:34 to go.

Shawn Savage, a freshman from Bowling Green, Kentucky came up big for the Tigers.
Savage scored 12 points over the final 8:33 of the game, including two three pointers, and lead Campbellsville on an 18-5 run to dispose of the Patriots 63-46.Â
Bubba Long (SR/Owensboro, KY) led the Tigers with 15 points. Nestor Colemenares (JR/Caracas, Venezuela) had 13 points in addition to the 12 by Savage.
The win in Williamsburg marked the first time Campbellsville had won at Cumberlands since the 2001-02 season. It also gave Campbellsville it's first conference win this season.
Campbellsville is now 18-6 and 1-3 in MSC play. The Tigers host West Virginia Tech on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
