Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Â
To say the Tiger Wrestling team has had an incredible season would be an understatement. All year, the squad has continued to win big matches and continually climb up the national rankings and eventually eclipse the nation's top ten.  They left Campbellsville last week ranked 11th in the country and returned after a three-day weekend at the national tournament in Oklahoma City as the seventh best squad in the NAIA.
Five Tiger wrestlers claimed All-American honors -
Zach Flake (141 lbs.), ranked 2nd;
Johnny Papesh (125 lbs.), ranked 4th;Â
Tommy Pretty (133 lbs.), ranked 8th;
James Linker (165 lbs.), ranked 7th; and
Spencer Adams (184 lbs.), ranked 6th.
Jarius Murton, a senior, was named Academic All-American. To be eligible a wrestler must be a junior or senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.5.
"It was a pretty demanding competition," said Tiger coach
Franky James. "Worst-case scenario, if you lose in the first round and want to come back and take third you'd have to wrestle in nine matches."
James' teams have made a name for themselves in the five years of the program. Campbellsville started James' third season ranked No. 1 in NAIA.
"We want to keep pushing for the top," continued James, who has six or seven true freshman on the 7th place nationally ranked team.
"We've got a good nucleus and I hope we can keep them. It has been a challenge every year."
Lindwood (Mo.) College won the 2009 title.
