CU converts turnovers into points at Olivet Nazarene

Box Score BOURBONNAIS, Ill. -- Twenty-fifth ranked Campbellsville University extended its win streak to three games Saturday with an 87-77 win at Olivet Nazarene University.

After six lead changes in the first 10 minutes, Campbellsville took a 24-23 lead on a basket by Jonas Bohm. From there, the CU Tigers took advantage of six Olivet turnovers and a 1-of-6 shooting drought by the home team to put together a 15-2 run and 39-25 lead with six minutes left to play in the half. Campbellsville's lead grew to as many as 15 before ONU worked the margin down to nine at halftime, 45-36.

Campbellsville shot 59.4 percent in the first half, led by Justin Ennis' 70 percent shooting and 18 points. Ennis finished the game with 25 points to lead all scorers.

CU maintained its double-figure lead most of the second half, allowing Olivet Nazarene no closer than nine points, 79-70, on a 3-pointer by Danny Olson with 1:44 remaining. Cedric Henderson carried the load in the final 10 minutes, scoring all 14 of his second-half points to finish with 21 points.

Both teams shot better than 55 percent from the floor and 40 percent from 3-point range. An extra seven turnovers by Olivet Nazarene proved to be one of the major differences in the game, as CU scored 14 points off turnovers in the second half and allowed none.

Four Olivet Nazarene players scored in double figures, let by Antonio Marshall (15), Jake Boyce (14), Danny Olson (13) and Ben Worner (10).
