BARBOURVILLE, Ky. — The Campbellsville University swim team is nearing the end of its season, but for some CU swimmers, things have just gotten started, as they continued to improve times at their last regular-season meet.
At the Union College Senior Meet, several Tigers amped up their performances, even when thrown into unfamiliar events, according to Coach Casey Smith.
The new 200-medley team of Bailey Foxworth, Lindy Charity, Jenna Rueff, and Shelby Mattingly slashed its time from the previous week.
"I was really proud of our medley relay, which was a different combination of girls than what we had gone with before," said Smith. "They worked well together, had good transitions, and improved their split times. That will really help us for the upcoming conference and national meets.
"Overall, I think we had a good meet as far as team interaction and encouragement. They were all really engaged and they worked well together."
The Lady Tigers will travel to Columbia, Ky. on Friday and Saturday for the Mid-South Conference Invitational at Lindsey Wilson College.
