YPSILANTI, Mich. – Campbellsville University went 1-2 in the Eastern Michigan University Duals on Saturday, Nov. 16, posting a dominating win over NCAA Division II Findlay University, 48-3.

The Tigers fell to NCAA Division I programs Clarion University, 33-3, and Kent State University, 32-9.

CU picked up 18 points off forfeits to start the dual with Findlay, and continued to stretch its lead with pins by Shawn McGhee at 157 pounds, Travis McIntosh (184), Nate Knauf (197) and Justin McDaniel (heavyweight).

Colby Rinehart recorded CU's only win against Clarion with a 9-7 decision over Tyler Bedelyon.

Cody Steiner posted a win over Alfredo Gray at 125 pounds, while McGhee and Marvin Lawrence both won decisions against Kent State.

CU also had nine wrestlers compete in the Eastern Michigan Open. Freshman Brandon Pledger used a first round win and medical forfeit to help finish fourth at 174 pounds, while sophomore Drew Ferguson was the other Tiger to place, finishing eight at 133. Ferguson pinned Eastern Michigan's Jacob Byers in 34 seconds to help get to the placement rounds.

Campbellsville (5-2) will return to action Saturday, Nov. 23 at home in Gosser Gym for the CU Duals. Action is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
