BOX SCORE

The Tigers were 3-of-7 from the floor and 0-for-4 from the free throw line in the final five minutes of play. All three baskets came by junior center A'Darius Pegues to keep CU in front by a point off-and-on down the stretch, but missed bonus free throws by Jordan Myers and DeShawn Dockery in the final 30 seconds set up the Rams' winner.

Campbellsville opened the game on an 8-0 run, shooting 4-of-5 on its first four possessions. Bluefield responded with an eight-minute, 20-6 run though to push ahead by six points, 20-14. A 3-pointer by Mike Collins with just under 11 minutes to play in the first half, gave Bluefield its first lead, 15-14.

CU battled back to tie it, 27-27, on a long-range, 2-point jumper by Quin Richardson, right at the edge of the 3-point arc, but Marion regained the lead for Bluefield and the Rams went into the locker room up 33-29 at the half.

The Tigers' largest deficit of the game was nine points, 46-37, early in the second half, but Campbellsville used an eight-minute, 19-7 run to pull back in front. The run began with a 5-0 swing with an and-one play by Dockery and basket by Myers. Pegues capped the run and made the crowd go crazy with back-to-back slams, the first being an and-one over two Ram defenders to regain CU's lead, 54-53.

CU could not stretch its lead beyond three points in the second half though.

Pegues finished with 12 points, including 11 in the second half, while Eric Gaines led all players with16 points. Alex Lubsey also had 16 points and 11 boards to lead Bluefield, followed by 15 from Marion.

CU continued to defend the 3-point shot well, holding the Rams to 3-of-14 (.214) for the game, but Bluefield connected on 25-of-52 from inside the arc.

Campbellsville (2-1, 0-1 MSC) will return home Saturday, Nov. 23 to host No. 7 University of Pikeville (6-1, 1-0 MSC) at 4 p.m. in Powell Athletic Center.
