FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Campbellsville University swept four duals Saturday at Indiana Tech to match its program high for dual wins in a season, improving to 12-3 overall.

CU started the day with a 39-17 win over Oklahoma City University, and then downed Missouri Baptist University, 34-17. Campbellsville made history in its third dual of the day, edging No. 5 University of Great Falls for the first time in program history, 19-18, with help of a criteria point. CU closed the day with a 21-14 win over Indiana Tech.

"I think we really helped ourselves today," said Franky James, CU wrestling coach. "We were able to see where we stand. Some of the wins will help our seeding for national duals."

Eight Tigers were undefeated on the day. Nate Knauf was 4-0, including a forfeit against Great Falls. Cody Steiner (125 pounds), Tyler Alsip (133), Kyle Terry (149) and Shawn McGhee (157) were 3-0, and Brandon Westerman (141), Matt Milton (149) and Joe Whalen (165) were each 1-0.

CU led Great Falls 20-18 based on how each match shaped out, but the Tigers lost two points for unsportsmanlike conduct to leave the dual tied, 18-18. Both teams were equal in fall points, while a tech fall by McGhee proved to be the difference for CU to be awarded a criteria point and the win.

Campbellsville (12-3) will return to action Wednesday, Dec. 18, when it hosts Ashland University for a home dual at 12 p.m. ET in Gosser Gym.
