Box Score FRANKFORT, Ky. — The Lindsey Wilson College Blue Raiders' defense proved too tough to handle for the Campbellsville Tigers, as they combined for 20 turnovers in Saturday's Mid-South Conference semifinal. CU could never get into an offensive flow, and despite opportunities, they failed to knock down key shots in the final minutes of the game.

"We just couldn't protect the ball. We couldn't get the shots we wanted when we needed them. (Lindsey Wilson) is too good of a team to not get shots when you need to," said head coach Keith Adkins, " but give them the credit they deserve. When you have guys like Bridges, Watts, and Horn coming off the bench and scoring like they did, that's why they're the third ranked team in the country."
After winning the tip, Lindsey Wilson got on the board first with a jumper from Daronte Clark followed by a layup from DeAntra Scott, who would finish the half with five and 12 points respectively. Malik Thomas contributed an impressive and-one to get the Tigers off to a start.
The teams exchanged baskets for the first 10 minutes of the game, Justin Ennis contributing a three pointer and a quick layup to follow, keeping the Tigers ahead by a hair.
In the 14th minute, Sean Scott drained a deep three to give the Tigers a 14-6 lead, their largest of the game (8). He would finish the half with 5 points, behind Ennis (10).
Lindsey Wilson junior guard, Kalen Kimberland, knocked down a couple from the charity stripe to set his team on a 12-0 run, which was ended by an Ennis trey at 10:25. Kimberland would lead the Raiders with 12 points at the half.
The Tigers went into the locker room down 15, 27-42.
Although the half began with an LWC quick basket, CU answered with some scoring of its own, setting out on a 16-4 run that included back-to-back 3s from Ennis, and one apiece from Jordan Myers and Scott. Campbellsville then trailed by five at 15:09, 48-43.
With less than six minutes to play, CU closed the gap even more on a Scott free throw, 57-54, but the Tigers were unable to get over the hump, as Lindsey Wilson continued to put points on the board. CU kept it close with some extra effort from senior Vernon Payne, but LWC kept control and took away the victory, 72-61.
Leading scorers for the Tigers included Ennis (18) and Scott (10).
Kimberland led Lindsey with 16, followed by Bridges with 13, and Clark with 11.
The loss ended the tournament for the Tigers, who are waiting to hear about the possibility of an at-large bid to the NAIA National Tournament.
