Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. – After losing its lead and falling behind by 13, Campbellsville University rallied in the final three minutes to close within a point before falling, 82-77, Monday night at Lindsey Wilson College.

Lindsey Wilson took its first lead of the game, 41-40, with 17:03 to play on a basket by Keshaun Mayfield. The Tigers managed to regain the lead and hold onto a one-possession lead for the next five minutes until Daronte' Clark hit two charity shots to go up 50-49 with 11:50 left.
CU struggled down the stretch, with D'on Hall's 3-pointer with 3:02 remaining giving LWC its largest lead of the night, 72-59.
The Tigers didn't give up, creating four turnovers on the next five Blue Raider possessions to pull within three, 74-71. CU managed the deficit down to a point, 78-77, but the Tigers were unable to close the run late.
Campbellsville led the entire first half after Miles Rice started things off with a 3 on the opening possession. Campbellsville stretched its lead to 11 points, 21-10, on a banked-in hook shot by Jordan Myers. While LWC tried to cut into the lead, Quin Richardson hit a 3 off the bench to push the lead back to double-digits, 24-14. Darius Clement once again pushed the lead to 11 points, 29-18, with a 3-pointer from the top of the key, but Lindsey Wilson took advantage of a pair of fouls by Richardson and some CU turnovers to string together a 14-3 run to tie it, 32-32, with 2:31 left on a pair of free throws by Tony Menton. Roderick Clark, who entered the game with 19 points on the season, set the pace for LWC in the run, scoring nine points and assisting a 3-pointer.
Richardson scored the last seven points of the half for the Tigers, including a pair of double bonus free throws with 12 seconds remaining, to give CU a 39-37 halftime lead. He finished with a career-high nine points.
Six of CU's 13 field goals in the first half came from beyond the arc, and the Tigers were 7-of-7 from the free throw line.
During LWC's run in the second half, Richardson fouled out for CU with 6:12 remaining when diving for a loose ball. He led CU with 13 points at the time.
LWC shot 9-of-9 from the charity stripe in the second half at the time, while CU was in a lull, hitting 6-of-10 from the line in the period. The Tigers finished with 10-of-16 shooting from the line in the half, while LWC was 21-of-23 in the half.
Darius Clement led CU with 16 points, followed by 14 for Jordan Myers. Eric Gaines had 11 and Elliot Young had 10 to join Richardson's 13 points.
Mayfield finished with a career-high 16 points for LWC and 11 rebounds, while Daronte' Clark also had 16 and Tony Horne had 13, including two late free throws to seal the win.
Campbellsville (5-6, 0-3 MSC) will return to action Saturday, Jan. 4 at Cumberland University (10-2, 2-1), which dropped its first conference game Saturday in an 83-60 loss to St. Catharine College. Tipoff Saturday is 5 p.m. ET.
