Box Score CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Rob Robinson hit a 3 from the corner with 12.2 seconds to play to lift No. 19 Campbellsville University to a 67-65 victory over St. Thomas University (Fla.) Saturday evening.
Robinson, who led the Tigers with 18 points off the bench, hit four 3s in the game, most all at key times.

"That's a huge shot. It was a great penetrate and kick (by D'Von Campbell), and then he knocks it down when he has to. That's a sign of a guy who wants the basketball, and who wants to make a play. That will serve us well going forward," CU head coach Keith Adkins said.
St. Thomas' Lorel Beckford missed a 3 at the buzzer to drop the 24th-ranked Bobcats (NAIA DII) to 0-2.
"Give this team some credit. They are a good basketball team. They did lose some guys from last year, but it's a tribute to Coach (Patrick) Gayle. Man, they play hard," Adkins said.
Robinson gave Campbellsville a 12-11 lead midway through the first half, and then followed with his first 3 of the game to help spark what eventually became a 22-8 run. The run was capped by back-to-back 3s by Darius Clement and Robinson to give Campbellsville its largest lead of the game, 32-19, with 5:11 left in the first half.
St. Thomas chipped away with eight straight points to pull within five points and then worked it down to a point, 37-36, but Damontre Harris used an offensive put back to give the Tigers a 39-36 halftime lead.
The two teams traded leads in the first five minutes, with CU regaining the lead on an offensive board and basket by Elliott Young. Young followed with another basket en route to a 12-point day for the sophomore post. Â Â
CU led by seven points, 53-46, with 11 minutes left to play, but the Bobcats took the lead once more and led by five, 63-58, with 4:33 to play.
Miles Rice, who scored CU's first seven points of the ball game, hit two free throws to begin cutting into the Bobcats' lead. Campbell followed with a layup and then a pair of free throws by Clement to give Campbellsville a 64-63 lead. Though Chuckie Becton regained the lead with just over a minute left, Lorel Beckford turned it back over to set up Robinson's eventual game-winning 3.
Campbellsville survived turning the ball over 21 times in the game, compared to only forcing 12 stops of the Bobcats. The rebounding tally was even at 47, but Harris led all players with his collegiate career-high 18 rebounds, including 13 on the defensive glass. He also had five blocks, his most in a single game since recording six blocks against Georgia as a sophomore at South Carolina in 2012.
Michael Walker and MIkon Hewitt led St. Thomas with 15 points each, while Beckford finished with a double-double 13 points and 13 rebounds. Becton added 12 points.
Robinson and Young combined for 30 points off the bench for Campbellsville, while Rice finished with 14 and Clement had 11. Campbell had seven assists.
"The great thing about this game is two things. We faced some adversity and battled through it, and then the next thing is we learned some lessons today but we didn't learn them in a loss," Adkins said. "Hopefully our team will grow today with the win and make up for some things down the road."
Campbellsville (2-0) will meet another NAIA Top 25 team on Thursday, Nov. 6 when the 19th-ranked Tigers travel to No. 20 Evangel University in Springfield, Mo. Tipoff is 8 p.m. EST.Â
