Box Score CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University basketball did something Monday for the first time in its 40 seasons of having both men's and women's basketball – both the Tigers and Lady Tigers, hit the century mark at home on the same night.
The Tigers capped a rare non-conference home double-header with a 110-72 win over the College of St. Joseph (Vt). Earlier in the evening, the fifth-ranked Lady Tigers downed CSJ, 105-42, in Powell Athletic Center. It appears to be only the third time both teams have scored 100 on the same date, doing so on Nov. 5, 2011 and Feb. 6, 1992, though in different gyms.

Campbellsville fell behind early Monday, but rallied back from a 12-3 deficit to tie the game, 15-15, on an Eric Gaines free throw with 13:49 to play in the first half. DeMarcus Page hit a 3 from the top of the key to give CU its first lead, 18-15, and Rob Robinson later added a 3 to make it 21-16, as CU began to take control of the game.
Robinson added some excitement with a dunk to make it a 3-possession game, 34-28, as the Tigers worked their way to a 49-39 halftime lead. At the half, D'Von Campbell led all players with 11 points and Robinson had nine, while Frank Agholar already had six assists.
Miles Rice, who finished with seven points, collected four straight on back-to-back possessions. Rice brought the crowd to its feed with a dunk off an inbound pass from Campbell at the 15:38 mark, and then did again on the next possession, this time one-handed, giving CU a 15-point lead, 63-48.
CU took advantage of three St. Joseph turnovers to go up 21, 70-49, after a pair of free throws and a 3 by Quin Richardson and an offensive put back by Elliott Young.
The point margin remained the same until the game saw a long delay to clean up blood spots on the court. Once play resumed, both teams seemed slow to get back into rhythm, but mainly St. Joseph. The Fighting Saints allowed a quick basket by Eric Gaines, which helped spark an 11-0 run by the Tigers, working their lead to 32 points, 87-55.
Campbellsville stretch its lead further in the last five minutes, using another 11-0 run to make it a 38-point game, 99-61. Agholor put CU over the century mark with a pair of free throws with 3:19 left to play.
CU saw 11 players play and score in the game – all logging at least 14 minutes of action.
Campbell and Robinson finished the night with a game-high 17 points, while Richardson had 14 points, Damontre Harris had 11 points and Gaines had 10. Page and Agholor had nine and eight points, respectively. The Tigers received 53 points from their bench in the win.
Harris added a season-high seven blocks on the defensive side, while Agholor and Campbell had eight and seven assists, respectively. Shawn Johnson led the Tigers with 11 rebounds, most all in the final few minutes of the game, while Gaines and Harris each had nine.
Campbellsville is now 5-0 for the first time in Keith Adkins' 15 years as head coach and is on its longest season-opening win streak since 1998 (19-0). The Tigers will remain home Thursday, Nov. 13 to host St. Catharine College in the 2014-15 Mid-South Conference opener. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. EST.
The game will be televised live on WLCU-TV (Comcast Channel 10). During halftime of the game, CU will honor its 2013-14 men's and women's swimming teams, which were each presented with the NAIA Champions of Character Team Award last March.
