CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Tiger Wrestling began its 2014-15 duals schedule Saturday with a 4-0 day at home in the Campbellsville University Duals, consisting entirely of NAIA East Region teams.

The eighth-ranked Tigers beat Truett-McConnell College, 48-3, to start the day, followed by a 32-13 win over No. 8 Indiana Tech before lunch. In the two afternoon duals, the Tigers beat St. Andrews, 36-6, and Calumet College of St. Joseph, 47-3.

"We wrestled well enough to go 4-0 on the day, but this team understands that we can be much better. We want more and this team knows that these wins are stepping stones to bigger challenges and opportunities," CU head coach Franky James said. "The great thing about this team is they will put in the work. Because of that, I think we are just getting started with this group and they will keep improving as we go."

Fifth-ranked Kyle Terry (149 pounds) was the only Tiger to wrestle four matches on the day, winning all four. Cody Steiner, ranked No. 4 at 125 pounds, was 3-0 on the day plus a forfeit win. Travis McIntosh, ranked No. 15 at 174 pounds, was also 3-0, including an 11-3 major decision over No. 7 Stone Neese of Indiana Tech.

Twelth-ranked Sam Conners (141 pounds) also recorded an upset against Indiana Tech, with a third-period pin of No. 10 Matthew Miller in 6:02.

Shawn McGhee and Chuck Sharon both remained unbeaten on the season, both now 12-0.

Campbellsville (4-0) will travel to the Ohio Northern Invitational in Ada, Ohio, Dec. 6. CU's next dual is not until NWCA National Duals in Ft. Wayne, Ind., Jan. 9-10.
