Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. — Most would say a win is a win, but Campbellsville men's basketball head coach Ketih Adkins says otherwise. The Tigers barely escaped Lindsey Wilson College's Biggers Sports Center Friday night, as NAIA DII No. 8 Robert Morris University missed a 3-pointer to tie the game with time expiring, giving the Tigers the 63-60 win.

BOX SCORE
Â
Both teams struggled from the field, only shooting 38 percent. But Campbellsville could not find the net from the free throw line. The Tigers shot 10-for-23 (43.8 percent) from the stripe, its lowest percentage all season.
Â
"If you do not have very high expectations for yourself, for your teammates, for your players and for your program, then we walk out of here saying we won the game," said Adkins. "But if you have aspirations of doing something special and winning at a high-level then there is no way that this performance tonight can be acceptable."
Â
Robert Morris' Johnny Stevens gave the Eagles their first lead since halftime, 58-57, on an offensive rebound and put back with 2:12 remaining. But the Tigers stole the lead back with 35 seconds remaining on a Eric Gaines driving layup.
Â
Campbellsville held on late, as Darius Clement knocked down two free throws and RMU's Greg Travis missed a 3 with time expiring.
Â
Damontre Harris scored a career-high 19 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for Campbellsville (9-1, 3-0 MSC). D'Von Campbell finished with 13 points and four assits, and Rob Robinson scored 11 points to round out the Tigers in double figures.
Â
"There were times where he (Harris)Â was a man inside," said Adkins. "But then again, there are times where he doesn't break out offensively like we need him to do at times. Damontre is very unselfish but when he catches the ball 5 feet and in, we need him to take the ball up for the high percentage shots instead of using the extra pass."
Â
The Tigers and Eagles started neck-and-neck and remained so throughout the game. CU took a 16-13 lead after a Harris block and 3-pointer by Robinson.
Â
Robert Morris came back, though, and went on a 12-3 run to recapture the lead at 29-27. The Eagles finished the half on a 16-8 run but CU gained momentum just before the intermission when Quin Richardson knocked down one of his two 3-pointers in the final possession to cut the RMU lead to 33-32 at the break.
Â
Campbellsville came out of intermission with senior guard Darius Clement knocking down his lone triple and the Tigers did trail until 2:12 remaining.
Â
Robert Morris began to get in foul trouble early in the second half. Alexander Marzette picked up his third and fourth fouls in the first three minutes after the break. He led the Eagles with nine points at that time but went to the bench and did not return till the seven-minute mark.
Â
The Eagles also saw Maurice Williams pick up his fourth foul but Campbellsville was unable to take advantage after being in the bonus with 13 minutes to go. Williams led the Eagles with 14 points, Travis finished with 12 and Stevens finished with 11.
Â
Eric Gaines got in foul trouble for Campbellsville and played limited minutes. The reigning Mid-South Conference Player of the Week struggled from the floor, scoring three points. But two of those came at a key moment with 35 seconds left to give the Tigers the lead that it would never surrender at 61-60.
Â
Miles Rice missed his first game after suffering an injury against Pikeville on Nov. 22.
"It is tough to miss one of our best players," said Adkins. "We had to make a few adjustments on the defensive side, and that put others in difficult positions. But when we are such a deep team and have these caliber of players, someone has to step up and take responsibility for the production we will miss with Miles out of the lineup."
