Box Score CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — After beating three teams in the NAIA Top 25 to start the season, Campbellsville men's basketball went out of the NAIA with its fourth game and took to the court against USSCAA Miami University-Middletown. The Tigers drummed the Thunderhawks 85-61 at the Powell Athletic Center.

CU picked up career highs from freshman Shawn Johnson and Frank Agholor. Johnson scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Agholor dished out six of the Tigers' 21 assists to put his name at the top of the stat sheet.

Quin Richardson finished with a game-high 16 points to lead the way for CU.

Campbellsville took a 7-5 lead with 15:17 to go in the opening half and never looked back. The Tigers took their biggest leads of the first half on consecutive 3-pointers by Richardson and Elliott Young. Young put the Tigers up 20 and Richardson extended the lead to 23 with one minute left in the first half.

Richardson knocked down four 3-pointers and scored another two-point bucket for his 16 points – one shy of his career high.

Campbellsville dominated the first half, shooting 42.9 percent on 15-of-35 shooting and 5-for-12 from behind the arc. The Thunderhawks struggled in the opening half, hitting 28.6 percent (8-for-28) from the floor.

CU came out of the break and lit it up on the offensive end. The Tigers hit three triples to open the half and Damontre Harris threw down an up-and-under one-handed slam to put CU up 63-36.

Richardson then gave the Tigers their biggest lead with one of his 3-pointers at the 13:48 mark and put CU up, 66-36.

But Campbellsville started to get complacent on the offensive end and Miami University-Middletown was able to melt the lead to as small as 20 points, going on a 10-0 run.

The Tigers shot 6-for-21 from behind the arc in the second half and three of those came off the hand or Richardson.

In the first blowout of the season, head coach Keith Adkins was able to play every player on his bench and it paid off. Every Tiger who got into the game scored and the CU bench outpaced the Miami-Middletown's reserves, 49-27.

Harris went 5-for-7 from the floor and hit two free throws, finishing with 12 points. Rob Robinson also had an impressive dunk late in the second half to propel him to double figures, finishing with 11.

Campbellsville will play one more game out of conference against College of Saint Joseph in Vermont. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. in the Powell Athletic Center and will follow the Lady Tigers game.

CU will open Mid-South Conference action on Thursday, Nov. 13 against St. Catharine College. That game will also follow the women's game at 8 p.m.
