Box Score CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Campbellsville senior Caroline Owen knocked down six 3-pointers and Lady Tiger Basketball used a big second half to clip the Rams of Bluefield College, 69-47.

Campbellsville was in a dogfight for the first 22 minutes of the contest. Bluefield College held the fifth-ranked Lady Tigers to only a six-point victory back on Nov. 28 in Bluefield, W.Va., and it looked like this one would follow suit.
But Campbellsville stepped up its defense from the 10:56 mark to 5:55 left in the first period. The Lady Tigers held Bluefield scoreless during that stretch and took their first lead, 16-14, on an Owen 3-pointer. The Lady Tigers pushed their lead to 20-15 with 4:42 left to cap off a 12-1 run.
CU was able to pick up its biggest lead of the first half at nine points on a Lexxus Graham 3-pointer but Bluefield answered with a Whitney Smith 3 of her own. The Rams only trailed by six points, 28-22, at the half.
But Campbellsville came out and used a strong second half by Owen to propel CU back into a new winning streak. The Carthage, Tenn., native picked up a steal and drained her first of four triples in the second half and only heated up after that.
Just six-plus minutes into the second period, Campbellsville pushed its lead to 45-30 after sophomore Madison Clements hit a 3. The Lady Tigers hit 7-of-17 (41.2 percent) from behind the arc.
Ten Lady Tigers finished in the scoring column and Abby Miller tied a career-high seven assists. Macie Spence came off the bench and picked up two blocks to bring the Powell Athletic Center crowd to its feet. The sophomore reserve scored her second basket with 48 seconds left to give CU its biggest lead of 24 points, 69-45.
Campbellsville forced Bluefield to turn the ball over 25 times but also had 18 itself. Bluefield did hit 11-of-13 (84.6 percent) free throws compared to 14-of-21 (66.7 percent) for CU.
Whitney Smith led the Rams with 20 points and Destiny Tolliver grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds.
