INDIANAPOLIS - Nine Tiger wrestlers represented Campbellsville University men's wrestling over the weekend at the 36th annual Midwest Classic, hosted by the University of Indianapolis.

Junior Kyle Terry led the way for CU, taking home a seventh-place finish at 149 pounds with a 5-4 win over Wheeling Jesuit University's Preston Bowshier. Terry pinned Tiffin's Jett Hurt in 4:43 during the first round, but dropped his second second round match. He collected a pair of decisions to wrestle his way into the consolation quarterfinals, but fell short to Western State Colorado's Tyler Adams, 3-1.

Three other Tigers joined Terry in scoring team points. LJ Henderson and Evan Decker were both 2-2 during the tournament to each contribute four and 3.5 team points, respectively. Chuck Sharon was 1-2 and added two team points. 

At 165 pounds, Henderson won his first two matches with a fall (3:24) over Trine University's Kevin Groves and a 2-0 decision over Lindsey Wilson College's Rhodes Bell. However, Henderson fell by pin in the third period of the quartefinals to McKendree University's Nicolas Haferkamp. He then fell one win shy of placing in the tournament, losing by major decision to Shorter University's Wally Figaro. 

At 197 pounds, Decker pinned Lindsey Wilson's Elliot Porter  in 2:51 to start the day, but lost his second round match to Ohio Valley's Chase Long. Decker bounced back with a 2-1 decision over West Liberty's Nate Dawson, but fell in the third consolation round. 

Sharon received a bye to start the 184-pound bracket and won a sudden victory decision over Lake Erie's Tyler Hughes, 3-1, to advacne to the quarterfinals. However, Sharon lost two straight, being pinned in 1:49 by Western State Colorado's Kyle Piatt and then dropping a 6-2 decision to Ashland's Kurt Schaefer. 

Campbellsville finished the Saturday and Sunday tournament with 18 points to sit in 20th among 26 teams. Maryville University won the team trophy with 127.5 team points, followed by McKendree University (121) and Western State Colorado (102).
