Tiger swimming shows improvement at Union Winter Invite

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University men's swimming improved 14 of its individual times Friday and Saturday at the Union College Winter Invitational.

Daniel Fathergill led CU with three time improvements each. Fathergill shaved his freestyle times in the 200 (2:13.85), 500 (6:04.59) and mile (21:35.98). Austin Tucker (2:17.29 and Brandon Wiseheart (2:10.04) also improved in the 200 free.

Alex Meade (1:00.48) and Luke Camp (1:12.09) each improved in the 100 free and Wiseheart shed time in the 50 free (25.23). Meade also cut his 500 free time (6:06.91).
Devon Cross improved his breast stroke in the 100 (1:13.44) and 200 (2:47.27). Tucker was the only other Tiger to improve a time in a non-freestyle event, dropping his 100 fly time by two seconds to 1:08.91.

CU finished fifth of six in the team standings with 44 team points.

Campbellsville concludes its competition for the fall semester and will resume its schedule Jan. 24 with a home meet against Bethel University and Lindsey Wilson College in Powell Athletic Center.
