WILMORE, Ky. – Campbellsville University's men's and women's swim teams competed at the Season Kick-Off Invitational hosted by Asbury University on Saturday, Oct. 10 and came away with 19 combined career and season best times.Â
"We had really great relay swims on Saturday," said coach Casey Smith. "Great teamwork overall and a lot of great attitudes about the meet. Three weekends in a row is very challenging and they did an excellent job as a team.
"I am really proud of my team, especially my seniors because they really showed great leadership today."
The Lady Tigers placed fourth out of five teams with 27 points. Bellarmine finished in first place with 235 points. Asbury finished in second with 75 points, Lindenwood-Belleville was third with 145 points and St. Catharine placed fifth with three points.
The Tigers placed fourth with 13 points. Lindenwood-Belleville placed first, finishing with 212.5 points. Bellarmine and Asbury finished in second and third with 159.5 and 121 points, respectably.
Austin Tucker swam his first 200 Butterfly finishing in eighth with a time of 2:52.95. Morgan Bryant also recorded a career best, dropping over 13 seconds from two weeks ago in the 200 Breaststroke to place 14th with a time of 3.23.37.
