Moore, Terry placed at Oklahoma City Open

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Campbellsville men's wrestling started its season Sunday, Nov. 1 at the Oklahoma City Open with two Tigers placing in their weight classes.

Terrell Moore placed third finishing with 12 team points and Kyle Terry finished fourth, scoring 11.5 team points. 

After receiving a bye in round one, Moore won a 4-0 decision in his quarterfinal round over Ryan Branch of Wounded Duck. After dropping his semifinal round by tech fall he went on to win 6-2 and 7-4 decisions in the consolation semifinal and third-place matches. 

Moore defeated Evan McGee of University of Central Oklahoma for the highest finish for a Tiger at the Open. 

Kyle Terry lost by decision in his opening round match to Oklahoma City's Ricky McCarty and then received a bye in his consolation round one match. In consolation rounds two and three, Terry won by fall and tech fall. In the semifinal, Terry won by decision over Shea Conley of Labette Community College. 

Terry placed fourth after a decision over Daniel Carillo of University of Central Oklahoma. 

Other Tigers recorded team points but did not place. They are: Shawn McGee (6), Justin Brown (6), David Sparks (8.5), Andrew Hoskins (9), Devan Taylor (8) and Adam Hudson (5). Totaling a team score of 66 points.

Campbellsville will host its first duals of the season on Saturday, Nov. 14 with Life, Indiana Tech., Brewton Parker, St. Andrews, Truett-McConnell, Lindenwood-Belleville and Calumet College of St. Joseph.
