ADA, Ohio — Four Tigers led No. 8 Campbellsville to a first place finish in the 15-team Ohio Northern University Invitational today, finishing with 145 points.
Jaedin Sklapsky (141), Justin Brown (174) and Chuck Sharon (184) all finished the day undefeated in their respective weight classes. Nate Knauf (197) finished second totaling four Tigers in the final rounds.
"This feels great to win the tournament," said coach Franky James. "I am proud of the team today. Coming off Thanksgiving break we didn't have a great week of practice last week and with finals week starting Monday it was tough to prepare for this tournament.This team showed a lot of toughness today, they will keep working and improving. We started fast and finished strong."

Sklapsky went 5-0, recording 22 team points for CU. In his opening-round match he won a 9-3 decision over Dylan Dolph from Ohio Northern. He won by fall over Travis DeRossett of Alma College in the second round. In the quarterfinal and semifinal he won by decisions over Travis Salyer of Tiffin University (5-2) and Justin Kihn of Heidelberg (7-6), respectively. In the final first-place match, Sklapsky defeated Romeo Riley of Alma College by a 6-4 decision.
No. 12 ranked Brown also finished the day at 5-0 and scored 25.5Â team points. Brown won his opening round by tech fall at 5:20 (15-0) over Joshua Sneeringer of Waynesburg. Brown won by a 2-1 decision in the second round over Brandon Conrad of Lycoming. In the quarterfinal he won by a 2:48 fall over Max Dole of Ohio Northern and in the semifinal Brown won by medical forfeit over Bradley Metz of Finlay. Brown finished the first place match by a 7-3 decision over Travis Heller of Alma College.
No. 6 Sharon went 4-0, finishing with 26 1/2 team points. He received a bye in the opening round and went on to win by 1:11 fall over Charles Wells II of Findlay in the second round. In the quarterfinal, Sharon won by 18-4 major decision over Corey Hinkle of Lindsey Wilson. In the semifinal and the first-place match, he won by 19-2 tech fall and 2:03 fall over Ryan Shank of Waynesburg and Ron Tassoni of Washington and Lee, respectively.
Knauf went 4-1, finishing in second place, scoring 20 points. In the opening round he won by 38 second fall over Loc Long of Lycoming and in the second round he won by 6-1 decision over Eppe Saarenheimo-Vanderhorst of Heidelberg. In the quarterfinal, Knauf won by 1:29 fall over Gage Finegan of Heidelberg. In the semifinal round he won by 3-1 decision over Jamie Jakes of Alma. Knauf fell to Angus Arthur of Adrian who won by fall.
Next, Campbellsville will travel to Indianapolis, Ind. for the Midwest Classic Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 19-20.
