MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Campbellsville University men's tennis team had a great second day of the Auburn-Montgomery Invite as they defeated No. 11 William Carey University, 5-4. This was the highest ranked opponent the team has defeated in head coach Kyle Caven's tenure. The Lady Tigers fell to William Carey, 6-3 to fall to 0-3 on the season.

The Tigers swept doubles action, winning all three matches 8-6. They were able to get victories from Nathan Boniel and Vladyslav Ladygin in singles competition to seal the team win.

"Yesterday was a tough match but showed great things for our future," said Coach Caven. "Today we played great doubles with so much good energy. It was a fight, but we're really happy to get through. We play an improved Martin Methodist team tomorrow so hopefully we can keep our momentum going."

The win put the Tigers back to the .500 mark on the season bringing their record to 2-2.

The 25th-ranked Lady Tigers tennis team was unable to pull out a win against 21st-ranked William Carey University. CU trailed 2-1 after doubles competition and then fell in singles action 4-2.

Both Tiger teams will finish up the Invite tomorrow, Sunday, March 7 with a match against Martin Methodist University.
