CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — It was a good afternoon for Campbellsville tennis, as both the Tigers and the Lady Tigers took down conference opponent University of the Cumberlands.

The Patriot women, previously 4-0 in the MSC, were set back today by the Lady Tigers in a 5-4 defeat. On the other side of the Kelly Hall Complex, the Tigers dominated the Patriots, finishing with a 5-2 win.

In women's doubles play, Anna Tumanyan and Haley Dallas suffered a 6-8 loss. But the No. 2 and No. 3 matches went the Lady Tigers' way. Megan Charity and Jenna Sallee won, 8-3 and the duo of Meg Brown and Lindy Charity got their first No. 3 doubles win of the season, defeating UC, 8-5.

Both Charity sisters and Sallee tabbed wins in singles play today, securing the last three points that won the match for the Lady Tigers.

On the men's side, the duo of Alejandro Soriano and Vladyslav Ladygin took a loss in No. 1 doubles play, but once again the No. 2 and 3 doubles matches ended in a Tiger victory. Sebastian Marot and Zach Baulch won their No. 2 match 8-2, and Nathan Boniel and Parker Jones teamed up for a No. 3 win, 8-6.

Ladygin, Boniel, and Marot all captured wins in their respective singles matches, securing their fourth conference win. Johann Fuzieller and Zach Baulch were on their way to wins when the match ended for time reasons.

Going into a two-match weekend, the Lady Tigers have a 9-6 record and are now 5-2 in the MSC. The 19th-ranked Tigers have risen to 10-4 on the season and 4-1 in MSC play.

Both teams will travel to Indiana this weekend to take on Indiana Wesleyan University on Saturday, April 11, and Marian University on Sunday April 12. Saturday's matches are scheduled to start at 2 p.m. ET and on Sunday play will begin at 1 p.m. ET.
