BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — (BOX SCORE) The second-round game for Campbellsville softball was a pitcher's duel to say the least. St. Catharine College's Krystal Cammuse outdueled CU's Victoria Decker with a one-hitter to knock off top-seeded Campbellsville, 1-0 in the second round of the Mid-South Conference.

Campbellsville will now play at 3 p.m. ET on Friday, May 1 against the winner of University of the Cumberlands and Cumberland University game who met in an elimination game on Thursday night at 6/7 p.m. ET.

Decker (17-3) battled with Cammuse (8-13) until the Patriots (19-25) scratched a run in the fifth inning. Shelbi Thornhill reached base on a hit by pitch and St. Catharine ended up loading the bases with singles by Cammuse and Brittany McKee.

Decker picked up a strikeout and pop out, but surrendered an RBI-single to Brandi Hood scoring the lone St. Catharine run.

Decker's line finished with seven innings of three-hit softball. The MSC Pitcher of the Year also struck out five batters.

Campbellsville's first hit was recorded in the sixth inning and came off the bat of Kristin Benton. Markie Smith and Hailey Szpila could not capitalize and Cammuse shut down the Lady Tigers in the final innings.

Cammuse followed fellow Patriot, Steven Borkowski, who pitched a no-hitter in the baseball conference tournament against University of the Cumberlands earlier on Thursday.
