Box Score HARDEEVILLE, S.C. — (BOX SCORE) Campbellsville advanced to the NAIA Softball Opening Round final this evening with a 3-2 win over a gritty Rio Grande.

The Lady Tigers (36-9) will play host South Carolina Beaufort tomorrow at noon with the hopes of stretching the play-in tournament to an if-necessary game at 3:00.
Neely Quint (18-5), the freshman from Brookport, Ill., won her second game of the day, pitching a two-hitter while covering the full seven innings.
After Campbellsville took a 2-0 lead with solo runs in the second and third innings, Quint faced her toughest test. Rio scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth on two hits, helped by an error at third.
Adrean Jordan reached on a two-out single in the second inning and took second base on fielder's indifference. She scored on Shelby Ray's single.
In the third, Breanna Scott hit a one-out double and advanced to third on a wild pitch. She scored on Haley Szpila's 4-3 fielder's choice.
The winning run scored in the fifth when Kristin Benton's singled scored Scott, who reached after being hit by a pitch.
Campbellsville loaded the bases with one out in the fourth, but could not push across a run. CU stranded eight runners all together.
Quint hit the leadoff batter in the seventh and found herself with two on and no out after trying to erase the lead runner on a sacrifice bunt. But she forced two consecutive groundouts to third and the game-ending fly out to right field.
