CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Five Lady Tigers and four Tigers placed first at the Senior Day swim meet Campbellsville University hosted on Saturday in Powell Athletic Center.Â

Campbellsville hosted both Bethel University and St. Catharine College, as CU took down St. Catharine with a combined men's and women's score of, 147-38. But Bethel topped Campbellsville in combined scoring, 175-167.
For individual scoring, the Lady Tigers trumped everyone, beating St. Catharine 147-38 and Bethel 95-86. The women finished the season at home with a bang, as they had four seniors swim at home for the final time — Katlynn Lanham, Rebekah Tilton, Shelby Mattingly and Bailey Foxworth. Luke Camp joined the celebration day with the other senior swimmers. Camp graduated in December.
The Tigers were defeated by the Bethel Wildcats, 89-72.
Four of the nine races for Campbellsville were won by seniors. Mattingly placed first in the 50-meter (29.44) and 100-meter freestyles (1:07.11). Foxworth finished first in the 200-meter freestyle with a time of 2:28.52. Last but not least, Tilton placed first in the 400-meter freestyle, recording a time of 5:41.69.
After placing first in the 200-yard breaststroke the night before at the University of the Cumberlands, Jen Lewis placed first in the 1500-meter freestyle. She posted a time of 21:25.20, more than a minute faster than her competitors.
For the Tigers, Christophe Telman finished first in two races. In the 200-meter IM, Telman recorded a time of 2.33.39, only a hair before the second place finisher. In the 400-meter freestyle he finished with a time of 4:49.99.
Austin Tucker was the only male to race in the 100-meter butterfly thus granting him first place with a time of 1:18.63. Devon Cross placed first in the 100-meter breaststroke as well, with the time of 1:24.91.
Campbellsville will take a week off after a busy weekend and returns to the pool on Jan. 30 at Transylvania University in Lexington, Ky.Â
