LEBANON, Tenn. — Campbellsville men's wrestling defeated Cumberland University on the road 21-12, winning six of the 10 weight classes.

The sixth-ranked Tigers (11-4, 2-1 MSC) started the night off a tad slow again on Friday night, dropping the first two duals to the Phoenix (7-7, 1-1 MSC). No. 16 David Starks turned CU around with the first win of the night and the first of four consecutive victories with a 5-4 decision at 141 pounds.

Andrew Hoskins, won at 149 with a 2-0 decision and fifth-ranked Kyle Terry followed suit defeating his opponent 10-7. At 165, sixth-ranked Sean Black was the succeeding Tiger to draw points with an 8-2 decision. All four Tigers had some sort of riding time in the decision.

No. 3 Chuck Sharon (184) and No. 10 Nate Knauf (197) finished strong for the Tigers making a win for the Phoenix impossible with only one dual left. Sharon won on a 7-4 decision while Knauf picked up the only fall in the dual, winning at 2:13.

This week was busy for Campbellsville as they traveled to University of the Cumberlands on Monday, Jan. 25, Lindsey Wilson on Thursday, Jan. 28 and turned around the next day and wrestled Cumberland University on Friday, Jan. 29. Three Tigers - Hoskins, Terry, and Black - went a perfect 3-0 this week against the Mid-South Conference opponents.

CU will host St. Catharine on Friday, Feb. 5 for senior night for the last regular season dual before the Tigers head out of state for tournament play.

The MSC Eastern National Qualifier Tournament will be on Saturday, Feb. 20 in Marietta, Ga. The NAIA National tournament will be held on March 4 and 5 in Topeka, Kansas.
