Tiger Hoops hosts Wilmington on Wednesday night at 7:00

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — After a pair of road games, Tiger basketball returns to Powell Athletic Center tonight to host Wilmington College.

Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET with pregame coverage starting at 6:45 p.m. on 88.7 The Tiger and wlcufm.com. Live video is also available on the CU Sports Network.

The 11th-ranked Campbellsville Tigers boast a 1-1 record after defeating Central Penn (81-72) and falling on the road to Harris-Stowe (71-68). CU also lost to NCAA DI Western Kentucky University in an exhibition last week (87-79).

For Wilmington College, tonight marks the final exhibition game for the Quakers. The first regular season contest for Wilmington is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 15 vs. Mount St. Joseph.


Series Facts:
• Campbellsville and Wilmington College are meeting for the second time in history.
• CU leads the series 1-0 after winning 84-64 last season. Dominique Harding scored 17 points ?and Ron Scott finished with a double-double, 13 points and 11 rebounds.
• The Tigers dominated in the box score, hitting 47 percent from the field, 38.5 percent from behind the 3-point line and 83 percent from the free throw line. But CU's 18 turnovers allowed Wilmington to hang close. Campbellsville out-manned Wilmington on the boards, grabbing 47 compared to only 30 for the Fightin' Quakers.
• Tonight marks an exhibition contest for Wilmington and the Quakers won't start its season until Tuesday, Nov. 15 vs. Mount St. Joseph. 

Tiger Clawz:
• Tonight mark the first of three games at home this week. CU is hosting Ohio State Mans field and Harris-Stowe this weekend in the Lou Cunningham Classic.
Erik Kinney and Rod Lawrence will sit out tonight but will be back this weekend for the Lou Cunningham Classic.
• Both Kinney and Lawrence played vital roles in CU's exhibition for Western Kentucky University, as Lawrence delivered a career-high 29 points and Kinney finished with 10 points and tied the team-high with seven rebounds.
Shawn Johnson is taking advantage of early playing time and has excelled on the court the first two games. Johnson is averaging 23.5 minutes per game compared to just a little over nine his first two seasons. Johnson is also scoring eight points a contest while leading CU on the boards with 8.5 per game.
Kelton Ford is expected to miss the rest of the fall semester with a fractured jaw.
• In the absence of Ford, redshirt freshman Byron Dean is getting ample playing time and has stepped up for the Tigers. The Nashville, Tenn. native is averaging almost 20 minutes a game and is third on the team in scoring at 11.5 ppg.
