CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Tiger and Lady Tiger basketball hit the hardwood tonight and welcome Mid-South Conference foe Cumberland University to the Powell Athletic Center.
The doubleheader between Campbellsville and Cumberland is scheduled to tip with the women's game at 6 p.m. ET and the men's contest to follow.

#4 Lady Tigers (6-1, 0-0 MSC) vs. #23 Cumberland (9-1, 1-0 MSC)
Both teams are entering tonight with one loss on their record, as the Lady Tigers lost to No. 2 Westmont, 59-50, and Cumberland fell to John Brown, 66-64, in the Jackson Rotary Classic last weekend. The Phoenix did pick up their first conference win of the season after defeating new member Life University on Monday night, 88-58.
Tonight's Mid-South Conference opener will be the fifth game Campbellsville has played against a ranked foe and the fourth for Cumberland.
Campbellsville leads the all-time series with the Phoenix, 26-4. The Lady Tigers have also won six straight in the series – three of those by four points or less - and 18 of the last 21 games. Campbellsville is also a perfect 5-0 while playing the Phoenix at home in the
Ginger Colvin era.
Both teams have made appearances in the NAIA Fab Four, as Cumberland did so in 2013 and Campbellsville in 2015. The Phoenix, who entered the MSC in that 2012-13 season, won three straight games over the Lady Tigers during that Fab Four run, with all three wins coming in that season.
#11 Tigers (6-3, 0-0 MSC) vs. Cumberland (3-5, 0-1 MSC)
Campbellsville and Cumberland are meeting for the 22
nd time in history, with the Tigers leading the series, 13-8. Before last year's loss at Cumberland in December, the Tigers had won five-straight over the Phoenix. Campbellsville has won six of the last seven contests between the two foes.
With the series being played in Powell Athletic Center, Campbellsville holds an 11-4 record. This season, the Tigers have won all five games at home and carry in a 38-2 record in the Powell Athletic Center the previous three seasons.
The Tigers are entering tonight after defeating Midway University 92-62 on Monday night. Cumberland has already played one conference game and blew a late lead to fall to Life University, 73-67, on Monday night.
