CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — The Mid-South Conference West Division title is on the line tonight and if Campbellsville men's wrestling wants to have a chance of a title, the Tigers have to go through new and upcoming program, St. Catharine College.
Tonight's MSC West Division dual is scheduled for 7 p.m. and Coach Franky James is honoring his four seniors that are graduating in May – Davion Caston, Nate Knauf, Miguel Santis and Kyle Terry.
Tonight's match will be streamed live on the Campbellsville University Sports Network – http://portal.stretchinternet.com/camp/Â
No. 6 Campbellsville is currently second in the West Division with a 2-1 record. No. 9 Lindsey Wilson College is in the lead with a perfect 3-0 record against West Divisional foes. The Blue Raiders have their final regular season dual against St. Catharine on Feb. 10 – which could decide the MSC regular season title if Campbellsville is able to take care of business tonight.
St. Catharine College – who is in its second year as a varsity program – is 0-1 against Campbellsville. The Tigers rolled past the Patriots last season, winning 8-of-10 matches and outscoring SCC 37-12 in Lourdes Hall.
Life University has sealed the MSC East Divisional title after going 4-0 in regular season duals.
Campbellsville is looking for its third Mid-South Conference regular season title after winning in 2011 and 2013. The Tigers also won the MSC tournament in 2010 and 2011.
After tonight's dual, the Tigers will have 14 days to prepare for the Mid-South Conference Tournament in Marietta, Ga. hosted by Life University. That will also double as the East Region National Qualifier, which will seed teams for the national championship scheduled for March 4-5 in Topeka, Kan.
