GEORGETOWN, Ky. — Campbellsville has had a good showing so for at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, as a duo of Tigers will be competing on Sunday for South Region championships.
It's the second-straight year Campbellsville had had an individual compete in the finals, as Vladyslav Ladgyin won the South Region singles tournament last season to advance to the ITA Small College Championship.
Brendan Aguilar, a newcomer to the Tigers this year, is playing in the singles finals on Sunday morning at 11:30 a.m. ET. Aguilar, the No. 2-seed in the tournament, will face No. 1-seed Denis Porcic of Lindsey Wilson College.
After a bye in Round 1, Aguilar has pulled out four singles wins. He defeated Garett Fenster of Indiana University Southeast, Ace Lucich of Cumberland University, Ryo Takeda of Georgetown College (6-2, 6-3) and 13
th-seed Tomas Depiaggio from Lindsey Wilson (6-2, 6-1).

Adrian Sabrojo all lost in their respective quarterfinal matches.
Campbellsville and Lindsey Wilson started the tournament with eight of the combined 16 seeds – each team had four.
In addition, Aguilar will also team up with Castro in the men's double finals. The duo will face Lindsey Wilson's No. 1 team of Porcic and Alonso Tellez.
After a bye in the first round, Aguilar and Castro pulled out three-straight wins over the last two days to set up the finals. The doubles championships will start at 9:30 a.m.
On the women's side, the Lady Tigers had a pair of quarterfinal loses too. No. 4 seed
Kaede Amano was upset by Cumberland University's No. 6 seed Ainhoa Garrido in extra sets, 6-2, 4-6 (10-5). Also, five-seed
Bolor Enkhbayar lost in the quarters to Lindsey Wilson's No. 1 Isabella Dale, 6-2, 6-1.
Sunday's winners advance to the ITA National Small College Championships later this fall.
