Battle of Highway 55 hits the wrestling mats tonight at 7 pm

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — The Battle of Highway 55 between Campbellsville University and Lindsey Wilson College gets hot and heavy this week with three events between the two programs in the next three days.
 
It all starts on Tuesday night as No. 4 Campbellsville and No. 7 Lindsey Wilson hit the wrestling mats. The first match of the Mid-South Conference dual starts at 7 p.m. ET in Powell Athletic Center.

The Tigers enter the night with a 14-7 overall dual record and are 5-2 in Mid-South Conference duals. Lindsey Wilson College boasts a 9-4 overall record and a perfect 5-0 MSC slate. CU also boasts six ranked grapplers, while the Blue Raiders bring in five.
 
Tonight's dual will feature two of the top-ranked wrestlers in the country, as Chuck Sharon earned his No. 1 ranking in the previous NAIA Coaches' Poll at 184 pounds. Lindsey Wilson's Cam Tessari is also ranked No. 1 at 157 pounds.
 
At 125 pounds, Adrian Camposano leads the Tigers with a 16-1 record this season and No. 2 ranking. He will take on Colt Olinde from LWC.
 
The 133 match will feature CU's Aaron Rugnao vs. Brady Moser, while the No. 13 Jayce Carr will represent the Tigers at 141 vs. Lucas McCain.
 
Another Top 5 bout will feature Jaedin Sklapsky and Daniel Leonard. Sklapsky enters the night ranked No. 3 at 149, while Leonard comes in at No. 5.
 
Michael Diemer will have his hands full as he takes on Tessari at 157. Then at 165, L.J. Henderson will battle No. 9 Diorian Coleman.
 
No. 12 Justin Brown will await his competition after weight-ins, as the Blue Raiders have a pair battling at 174. Colton Gonzalez leads Lindsey Wilson with a No. 9 ranking but Rhodes Bell is coming off a fourth place finish at the highly-touted Missouri Valley Invitational.
 
CU's heavy hitter, Chuck Sharon will have another ranked opponent looking to dethrone him from the top ranking, as No. 5 Matt Walker awaits at 184 pounds.
 
Rounding out the dual will be CU's Tyler Rowland vs. Corey Hinkle or Kohl Dodd at 197 and at 285, Nate Jackson or No. 15 Terrell Moore will battle Ameer Daniels or Raynel Brown.
 
The Battle of Highway 55 between Campbellsville and Lindsey Wilson continues on Thursday night, as both programs hit the hardwood at the Biggers Sports Center for a doubleheader. The Lady Tigers tipoff at 7 p.m., with the Tigers to follow at 9:00. Live coverage will also be available on the CU Sports Network.
