No. 11 Men’s Wrestling heads to Pigeon Forge for Smoky Mountain Duals on Sunday

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville's men's wrestling team returns to action on Sunday afternoon at the Smoky Mountain Duals in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
 
The Tigers are set to compete against Reinhardt University and Central Baptist College at the LeConte Convention Center. Cumberland University is also set to compete at the duals on Sunday.
 
Campbellsville started its dual slate at Indiana Institute of Technology's Warrior Duals last weekend. The Tigers went an even 2-2 beating Hannibal-LaGrange University and Davenport University, but dropped matches to Marian University and No. 13 Indiana Tech.
 
At the Warrior Duals, Chuck Sharon and Justin Brown went a combined 8-0, while Jaedin Sklapsky won each of his three bouts. Brown went on to win Mid-South Conference Wrestler of the Week honors after beating a pair of ranked opponents at the 174-pound weight class.
 
On the season, Brown has gone 12-1 overall and Sharon is 11-1 in matches on the year. Sklapsky is the lone individual for the Tigers that is unbeaten on the year after winning his first 11 matches to start the season.
 
Former Mid-South Conference foe Reinhardt enters the duals with a record of 2-1 overall after suffering its first set back of the season against Life University. The Eagles picked up wins over Huntingdon College and Truett-McConnell University. Reinhardt has eight grapplers ranked in the individual polls with Chase Zemenak holding on to the No. 3 spot at 141 pounds, while the team sits at No. 16 in the team rankings.
 
Central Baptist comes into the weekend holding a record of 2-4 and dropped its third-straight American Midwest Conference dual last time out against Lyon College, 27-26. Entering the season, the Mustangs were slated to finish sixth in the AMC preseason rating.
 
All-time, Campbellsville is 2-0 against Central Baptist, while the Tigers won its first ever dual against Reinhardt last season, 27-11.
