HAWAII — Campbellsville women's basketball isn't just enjoying a Christmas trip to Hawaii, it's a working trip for coach
Ginger Colvin's Lady Tigers as CU has a pair of games this week in the Hoop & Surf Christmas Classic.
No. 3 Campbellsville and Menlo College tipoff on Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. and the Lady Tigers turn right around on Thursday with a Top 5 matchup vs. No. 5 Wayland Baptist.

Campbellsville enters the Classic with an 11-1 record after its lone loss came to then-No. 3 Freed-Hardeman University in the Jackson Rotary Classic in November. The Lady Tigers have already played one of the toughest schedules in the country with seven games against ranked or receiving votes opponents and boasting a 6-1 record in those games.
Campbellsville is looking to use its defense once again to slow down two of the top offensive programs in the country. The Lady Tigers use their twilight defense to earn 19 steals per game and 228 steals overall - both No. 1 in the NAIA.
Menlo College hails from Atherton, Calif. and enters the Classic with only one loss as well. The Oaks started the year with a nine-game win streak but lost 74-70 to Holy Names last week on Dec. 13
th.
The Oaks, coached by 10-year coaching veteran Shannon Spataro, are one of the best offensive teams in the country ranking No. 1 in the NAIA in field goal percentage (50.1%) and No. 4 in 3-point shooting (40.1%) and points per game (84.5).
Menlo has a trio of Oaks scoring in double figures led by Destinee Bowie's 18.2 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Celina Pagan chips in 17.4 points and is hitting 51 percent from the 3-point line.
Wayland Baptist enters the Classic with a 7-0 record and jumped up the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll 18 spots to No. 5. The Flying Queens boast wins over No. 13 Our Lady of the Lake (100-80) and No. 19 MidAmerica Nazarene (78-55). WBU opened the Classic with top-ranked NAIA DII program Saint Xavier today.
The Flying Queens, coached by Alesha Ellis, are not only one of the best rebounding teams in the country but also another high-profile 3-point shooting team. WBU ranks No. 2 in offensive rebounds per game (19.4) and rebound margin (14.4), No. 4 in rebounds per game (47.7) and No. 5 in 3-pointers per game (9.4).
WBU has five players averaging double figures with Maci Merket leading the way at 12 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.
