Extended break comes to a close with No. 21 Men’s Basketball competing at Cumberlands Classic

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – After a 12-day layoff, Campbellsville's men's basketball team returns to action at the University of the Cumberlands Classic on Friday and Saturday in the O. Wayne Rollins Center.
 
The Tigers start the classic on Friday night at 6 p.m. ET against Stillman College and then Campbellsville takes on Kentucky Christian University on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. ET.
 
Entering the weekend, Campbellsville bolster a 13-1 record overall and have won its last nine games. Prior to the extended break for Campbellsville, it picked up a 110-64 victory over Toccoa Falls College to wrap up the Lindsey Wilson College Classic.
 
Against the Screaming Eagles, the Tigers had five players reach double figures. Tim Coleman led all scorers with 20 points and Andrew Smith recorded his second-straight double-double with 17 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
 
On the season, Hagen Tyler leads Campbellsville scoring 15.6 points per game, while Coleman has recorded 14.2 points a contest. Both Tyler and Coleman are shooting over 40 percent from beyond the arc and rank fourth in NAIA Division I with 43 made three-pointers each. Smith leads the team with 8.6 rebounds per game and is averaging 14.0 points a game, while ranking eighth in the nation with 23 blocks and 10th with 121 rebounds.
 
Stillman comes into the classic with a record of 11-1 and ranks 21st in the NAIA Division II Coaches' Poll. Stillman has won its last eight games with its last victory coming over Life University, 87-82. Rafeal Adams is one of five individuals for Stillman scoring in double figures with 18.5 points per game and is just shy of averaging a double-double with 9.3 rebounds per game. Stillman leads NAIA Division II in defensive rebounds per game (34.4) and ranks fourth in the rebounds per game (45.0).
 
Kentucky Christian has posted an even 8-8 mark entering the weekend. After dropping four of five games, the Knights have won its last four games coming into the classic including a 91-89 victory in overtime against Berea College last time out. Hayden Dunn and Brandon Barnes have paced Kentucky Christian this season averaging 27.1 and 20.2 points per game, respectively. Dunn is averaging a double-double through 16 games as he has corralled 184 rebounds to average 11.5 per game.
 
Campbellsville is set to take on Stillman for the first time in program history, while Campbellsville has posted a record of 11-0 against Kentucky Christian. The last time the two teams met was last season at the Lindsey Wilson Classic, where Campbellsville edged Kentucky Christian, 80-72.
 
Tipoff for Campbellsville's contest on Friday against Stillman is set for 6 p.m. ET, while Campbellsville takes on Kentucky Christian at 2 p.m. ET on Saturday. Both games take place at the O. Wayne Rollins Center in Williamsburg, Ky.
