KINGSPORT, Tenn. – Tiger swimming bid farewell to the Mid-South Conference Championship with season-best times all around and another ticket to the NAIA Championship.
Campbellsville's final ranking was fifth of six, earning 146 points after three days of competition.
Freshman
Isaac Lewis grabbed another NAIA "B" cut in the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:03.69. He finished ninth in the event, collecting four individual points for the Tigers.
Tanguy Claisse swam a season best of 2:02.17 to place seventh in the race for seven points.
In the 200-yard breaststroke,
Seth Jones scored seven points with a seventh-place finish in a season-best time of 2:16.90.
Devon Cross also swam a season-best time in the event, finishing in 2:37.23 and adding a point for the Tigers.
Others scoring for Campbellsville were:
Chris Telman in the 1650-yard freestyle in a season-best time of 17:34.31 for eighth place and five points;
Austin Tucker in the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:37.74 for 10
th place and three points; and
RJ Harris in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.64 for 12
th place and one point.
Concluding the event for the Tigers, Harris,
Eduardo Doilin,
Brandon Wiseheart and
Alex Meade swam the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:30.25, finishing in sixth place and gathering 18 points to bring their total to 146.
