GEORGETOWN, Ky. — Campbellsville men's tennis had five of the six singles players and all three doubles teams advanced out of the first and second rounds of the ITA Southeast Regional Championships on Thursday.
 
The ITA Southeast Regional, which is being played at Georgetown College, consist of singles and doubles brackets, where the winner of each bracket advance to the ITA Oracle Cup in Rome, Georgia next month.
 
Alejandro Reyes, Chrys Castro, Blaze O'Keefe and Adrian Sabrojo all entered the tournament seeded and received byes through the first round before winning their first match. In addition, Cesar Castro was not seeded but received a bye and won his first match as a Tiger.
 
Reyes defeated Borna Bartolovic (6-1, 6-3) from Union College and will face Riccardo Ferraris from Cumberland University today at Noon.
 
Chrys Castro won his match with ease by only dropping one point, 6-0, 6-1 to Taylor Graalman from Milligan College. He faces Edwyn Ramos of Bethel today at Noon.
 
O'Keefe defeated Otto Abad of Bethel University and will face Tristan Nosek of Georgetown at 1:30 p.m.
 
Cesar Castro and Adrian Sabrojo were the final Tigers to pull out victories in their first matches of the year. Castro won in a tiebreak over Axel Lucich from Cumberland University (6-1, 4-6, 1-0). Sabrojo took down David Garcia (6-2, 6-1) of Montreat College. Both will get back in action today at 1:30 p.m.
 
The lone Tiger to fall in his singles match was newcomer Wilmar Guleij. He lost to University of the Cumberlands' Luis Montull, 6-2, 7-6.
 
In doubles, CU won all three matches. Chrys Castro teamed up with Alex Spalding for an 8-6 win, while Sabrojo and O'Keefe won 8-3. Lastly, Reyes and Cesar Castro pulled out a 8-2 victory.
 
The doubles matches started early this morning at 8 a.m. at Georgetown College.
