CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The 11th-ranked Campbellsville men's wrestling team starts its Mid-South Conference schedule on Saturday night in a tri-dual against fourth-ranked University of the Cumberlands and Brewton-Parker College in Williamsburg, Ky.
The Tigers come into the conference season with a record of 6-5 and placed eighth at the NWCA-NAIA National Duals last week. Campbellsville went 2-3 at the national duals earning a win over William Penn University, 49-3, and the Tigers upset No. 6-ranked University of Providence, 25-18.

Justin Brown and
Chuck Sharon led Campbellsville going a combined 10-0. Brown beat four top-10 opponents en route to being named the Mid-South Conference Wrestler of the Week. Brown – who is the No. 2 wrestler at 174 pounds – is 19-1 on the season and won all 11 duals he competed in this season, while going 10-0 against NAIA opponents this season.
Sharon is the top-ranked individual in the 184-pound weight class and is 17-1 this season. Against NAIA foes this year, Sharon has won all 10 of matches and posted a record of 11-0 in duals.
Cumberlands comes into the tri-dual on Saturday with a dual record of 8-1 overall and is currently 1-0 in MSC duals. The lone loss for Patriots came at the national duals last week against Life University, 19-16. Cumberlands – who finished fifth at national duals – has three individuals ranked No. 1 in their weight classes with Hayden Lee (125), Jake Sinkovics (133) and Tres Leon (149) all holding a top ranking.
Brewton-Parker has dropped its first four duals of the season following a 45-3 loss to No. 2 Missouri Valley College and a 41-3 loss to No. 8 Williams Baptist College. Lucas Nelson is the only individual ranked for the Barons this season as he comes into the weekend ranked 13th in the 125-pound weight division.
Last season, Campbellsville dropped a 25-10 contest to Cumberlands at home in the Campbellsville Duals, while the Tigers picked up a 28-12 victory over Brewton-Parker at the Campbellsville Duals.
The Tigers face Brewton-Parker can Cumberlands from the O. Wayne Rollins Center in Williamsburg, Ky., with weigh-ins slated for 1 p.m. ET on Saturday afteron.
